Biography

Dr Amanda Kalamar is a mixed methods researcher with more than 15 years of experience working at the intersection of research, evaluation, learning, and sexual and reproductive health programs. Her expertise includes designing and implementing mixed methods research studies, overseeing program evaluations and impact measurement, and facilitating program learning and adaptation based on actionable insights.  

She has previously worked on projects focused on health systems strengthening, social and behaviour change, client experience of care, adolescent health, and methods and measures for family planning at Chemonics International, the Population Council, and Population Services International. She was also a research assistant for PMA2020 and worked as a consultant for the World Health Organization, contributing to the development of the monitoring framework for the Global Strategy on Women’s, Children’s, and Adolescents’ Health. She holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
