Biography
Hamdaratu Fuseini is a researcher and environmental scientist specializing in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), environmental sustainability, and community development. She is skilled in research design, policy analysis, field team supervision, data management, qualitative analysis, and report writing.
Previously, Hamdaratu served as an Assistant Policy Officer at WaterAid Ghana, supporting policy engagement and program implementation to improve access to safe water and sanitation. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at Consumer Insight Consult, a Data Collector for USAID’s Breakthrough RESEARCH project with the Population Council, and an intern at the National Youth Authority, gaining experience in project coordination, evidence‑based advocacy, and youth development.
She holds an M.A. in Development Studies from the University of Ghana, a B.A. in Integrated Development Studies (Environment & Resource Management), and a Diploma in Integrated Community Development from the University for Development Studies. Driven by a commitment to linking research with practice, Hamdaratu is dedicated to empowering communities to adapt to climate change and advancing sustainable development.
