Biography
Laura Dogbey is an early-career researcher with a decade of experience and strong expertise in mixed-methods research, with a particular emphasis on qualitative research design, data collection, analysis, and report writing, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Her work has focused extensively on Implementation Science Research, where she has contributed to major studies funded by the World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the areas of adolescent reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
She has played a key role in the design, implementation, and analysis of research projects that generate evidence to inform public health policy and practice. Notably, her contributions include studies on integrating family planning into Ghana’s National Health Insurance benefits package, the scale-up of self-administered DMPA-SC, and research on the School Health Education Programme (SHEPS) perspective on reproductive health education. These projects have advanced knowledge and strengthened evidence-based approaches to addressing public health challenges in Ghana.
In addition to her other roles, Laura serves as a certified National Trainer for censuses and surveys at the Ghana Statistical Service and conducts Monitoring and Evaluation as well.
Laura holds a master’s degree in Population Studies from the University of Ghana. Beyond her research expertise, she brings valuable experience in project management, ensuring efficient coordination and delivery of assignments. She is committed to producing high-quality work that supports evidence-based decision-making and contributes to improving health outcomes.
